Lately

Life is so good! Work is going really well. I have met pretty much everyone in the library and am on first name basis with some pretty important people. It is amazing how differently I am treated now that I am not a student. I love supervising and my students are amazing! I was able to hire two new students and had an interesting time interviewing but everything worked out really well. For my graduation, I got a bookshelf. I know some of you think that is a weird gift but I was so excited! It still isn't quite big enough but it works for now. I just keep adding too many books! You might be able to see but two full shelves are kids books! I just love them. The other ones are "boring" books, as Dan would say but I think they are all fabulous. I am starting Le Mis next!

Dan is so busy with school but I get to see him sometimes at lunch and for a few hours at night. He is doing well and for the most part likes his classes. He will be 25 so soon! I keep telling him he is old and he replies saying he is going to have his midlife crisis now! For Christmas he wanted a fish tank and since we are broke he had to settle on just one fish in a very cute bowl. Dan named him Leonardo (after Leonardo Davinci and the blue Ninja Turtle). We have had him for a week now though and he hasn't eaten a thing. His name is now "stupid fish!" and apparently he is on a suicide mission. We will let you know how it ends up!

We have been asked how our ceiling is doing and I am sad to report that it is not much better. It now looks like we are incubating an alien. The guys says it is drying and it shouldn't be too much longer. It makes hanging out in the living room pretty awkward and we hang out upstairs when people come over.

I know this post is getting long but I just wanted to say that we are so lucky to have some of the best friends ever! Nelson and Julie have indulged Dan and we now have Friday Fry Night or Fryday often. Last Friday they took us out for dinner! So cute we love them! On Monday we got to hang out with Katie and Jensen. Dan gets to see Jensen everyday, including today, but Katie and I never get to hang out so it was way fun to see them. Basically we just love everyone who supports us and hangs out with us, even the ones we don't get to see much anymore!

You guys are soooo cute! I love
hearing about your life. You should write a book someday... "the life & times of Dan & Nicole" or something catchy like that.:)

BTW-
Congrats on your graduation Nicole!
