Beginning of Celebration Weekend

Ok, I told Ash that I wasn't going to update until she did but since that won't happen any time soon I decided I would update anyway. Dan and I decided that this weekend was Celebration Weekend for a couple of reasons but we will start with the most important: Dan's birthday. He turns 25 on Monday but we began the party already with friends at Texas Roadhouse (of course). I used some PPT skills and here we all are: Marcus, me, Dan, Wray, Chloe, Emily, Jared (congrats you guys!), Brett, and Jessica! We hadn't seen them in so long that it was so much fun to catch up. We told the restaurant that it was Dan's birthday and so he got to sit in the saddle and he loved it!
Day two of celebration weekend is obviously today, Valentines Day. Dan and I have decided that we don't want V-day to be about gifts so we just do fun things together. I still woke up to a cute surprise though! I have the best husband ever. We had a leisurely breakfast at noon. One of the things that I wanted to do today was go tanning. Dan had never gone and since he so politely told me out of the blue one day that I could go tanning when ever I wanted (he was hinting that I was white) I decided that we should both go. I think it is so relaxing but Dan just thought it was weird. We will see if we go back!

We will finish up the weekend and we have a lot more planned but on a side note, I thought I would show a project Dan and I have been working on. Most of you know that I get done with work at like 4 everyday and so I have a lot more time to relax and try new things. I am reading again and actually making dinner from scratch (even lasagna!) so I decided I would try something to change up our house a little. We bought a large piece of MDF about 3 weeks ago and made a headboard! Ignore the 80's sheet!Dan was hesitant to help at first but he did a fabulous job! Now it is done and we just need to hang it. I am glad that my boss has a construction background and is going to help us hang this. It's 7 1/2 feet by 2 feet! I have another half left over and I am planning another piece, I think I am going to have to go smaller after this, our house isn't that big! I hope this post satisfies your curiosity for our lives. Oh! I forgot, I've been asked about our fish. He is still alive and not eating. We don't know what to do with him. Another question I've been asked a lot is how is our ceiling. I am ecstatic to report that the guy is here right now putting in insulation and getting ready to patch! I can't wait to have my living room back! I think that is all.... I'm sure I will post again soon!
