Waiting

Time seems to be going pretty slowly. Camden has had a couple of sick days with none of us getting much sleep. It also means we haven't been up to much.

Camden is so particular about how he plays. One day, he wanted to use a megaphone like a character on a show and it took me a couple of prototypes to find a design that he approved of. He loved using it once I got it right though!

This kid loves to see the food on his face!
Camden is having a hard time listening lately. It takes us about 45 minutes to get dressed, brush teeth, and put shoes on. I asked him to grab his Vaseline out of his room for me and this is what he did. He said "I'm flying to get it, Mom." Drives me nuts!
About a month ago, this little tikes car was sitting half way down the hill at the park. Over the next few weeks it migrated down to the church, then across the street, then sat abandoned in a neighbors yard for a week or two. Every time we drove past Camden asked if he could drive it. Finally I texted my neighbor and asked if she knew who's it was. She said she had no idea and was actually just going to take it to DI. I offered to take it instead and Camden was THRILLED. He said "It's red and yellow and I really like it. This is a great surprise for me.This is so fun and cool for me!" He even said "I wish you were small to ride in this cool car with me." He woke up at 6:30 this morning and asked if we could go outside so he could drive it.

I love this kid!
I'm down to weekly doctors appointments now. At the last one, the baby felt breech, because of this and the risks of a VBAC we scheduled a C section for Feb 23rd! If something changes at one of our next appointments we could still try a regular birth but it seems like my kids like to be stubborn. This little boy moves a lot more than Camden did and that helps keep me calm about him. We are at the awkward waiting stage when it's too early to get much done. I have a list (of course) but if I clean everything now it will just need to be done again right before the baby comes. So, I'm trying to be patient, which is not my strength. Having a bit of a plan does make me feel more relaxed but I just can't wait to meet this little guy!

I'm so sorry Camden has been sick but looks like he got over it. How fun for him to have the car, and how like him to wish you could ride in it with him. Keeping you and the baby in my prayers.
