Dan's Birthday

We were able to celebrate Dan's birthday yesterday. He is seriously the best husband/dad ever. Camden and I, and baby boy, are very lucky to have him. He had to work for most of the day but did come home a little early to celebrate and we always love when he is home. Pretty much every morning, Camden asks where Dad is and when I tell him he's at work he asks why and when will he be home. After dinner Camden and Dad play in the basement and a lot of times I'm instructed to stay upstairs because Camden doesn't want me ruining their fun! Dan takes such good care of me and I am really so blessed to have him!

I should update in order though so we'll do birthday pictures last.
Camden had 3 weeks where he would get a fever on Tuesday night, throw up once and then be sick the next day. On Thursday of each week his fever would be gone and he was fine. I took him in to the Drs on the third week while he had a fever and there was nothing else wrong with him so the Dr said he suggested getting some blood work done. He couldn't tell if it was just a new virus he was picking up each week or if it was a more serious recurring thing. We had to take him to get blood work while he had the fever so it meant a very sad day! Camden was a total trooper and hardly cried. He sat on my lap and Dan had to hold his little arm still. It was so so sad. On the drive home he said "That wasn't too bad." Since then when he plays doctor we always get "a little poke but not too bad."
My poor baby!

We watched a lot of Octonauts and he even refused ice cream!
All the blood work came back normal and we kept him home from nursery the next week and guess what... no fever on Tuesday! I'm glad he's doing well but it makes me want to skip nursery for at least a month after the new baby comes!

Camden is feeling better and I am feeling huge! My feet are swelling way more this time around and it makes sitting on the floor with Camden pretty uncomfortable. Camden found a way around that though and just uses my big belly as his table.

He would stay in his towel all day long!
We watched Anistyn, who is almost 3 months old, the other night. Camden was a little weary at first but warmed up. He did lots of "tricks" for her but didn't want to hold her or give her her binky or anything. It was a good refresher course for Dan and I, too.

On Valentines day this year, Sherri, Krista, Shauna, Ali, and Grandma Klundt all went out to Kneaders with me to help celebrate this new baby. We were spoiled with lots of adorable outfits and some much needed diapers and wipes. Then Dan and I went shopping for Dan because he never buys himself anything! I got a lot of curious stares and questions about when I am due. I know I'm huge but I still have a week to go! We finished the night with dinner at home and lemon pie. After putting Camden to bed, Dan and I attempted a paint by number we'd been given a long time ago. I was not expecting the detail that was involved and  we each only finished one color! It doesn't help that I get too uncomfortable sitting too.
Getting started
While Dan was at work yesterday, Camden and I decorated and got ready to celebrate Dan.

Cute boys!

It's Peyton!
Krista watched Camden for us last night so we could go out to dinner and a movie. We saw The Imitation Game about a guy Dan had learned about in school and ate at Wild Zucchini. I'm afraid I'm a poor date and distracted Dan through most of the movie with my shifting around and putting my feet up. He's the best though and it didn't even bug him.

We are now officially in the final week before this baby comes and we are all very excited! There is lots of cleaning to do this week and some play dates, etc to keep myself occupied. I can't believe this is the last week we'll only have one kid! It still doesn't quite seem real even though we've been waiting for this. Camden is ready for his Grandmas and Grandpas to spoil him and he says he won't miss me when I'm in the hospital!

I'll leave you with some birthday songs from Camden:

This one is his favorite version:
