Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was so much fun to see Camden enjoy all the festivities! Get ready for picture overload.

A new tradition is going to see the reindeer at Thanksgiving Point. Camden likes the reindeer but loves the hot chocolate.
"Is Rudolph here?"

Two of Santa's finest
We decorated Christmas tree treats again.
He's done decorating after two candies and is ready to eat
We went to Great Grandma Klundt's for sugar cookie decorating. Again, Camden was only interested in eating.

I don't know where he saw the pen behind the ear but it's pretty cute.
At one point Camden asked for a Grinch birthday party. I like to have Christmas decor taken down by his birthday though (in fact it is all already down) so we did a mini Grinch party with some neighbors instead,
Counting cookies

It wasn't much but it passed and Camden is satisfied.
The best part about Christmas is having Dan home. I love every day off he has. He went around the house all day with Camden shooting things. They went in Camden's room and he said "Dad, you can shoot everything in here but not puppy."

We did a couple of trips to look at Christmas lights. Camden was semi interested in the lights but was really excited when he got to come up front and push all the buttons in the car.
Don't worry, we were parked!
Camden got to have a sleepover at Grandma Davis' with all the cousins one night. He slept well but skipped his nap because he was having too much fun. He did not want to come home but fell asleep on my lap (this never happens!) with in ten minutes of being home. He was worn out!

We made Santa some chocolate sugar cookies on Christmas eve.
Helping cut out

Decorating or really just eating

He at least picked some colors for me to decorate

Ready for Santa
We had a little devotional and watched the Nativity video with Camden. We've tried to really teach home about Christ this season and I think he understands that Baby Jesus was born and that's why we get to have Christmas. I am so so grateful for our little family and for what the birth of the Savior means for us!
Putting out the cookies and milk
When Camden woke up on Christmas we had finally had some real snow for him. He was so excited! He said "I think this is enough snow for us to build a snowman." We went down stairs and Camden was pretty excited to see what Santa brought.  He got Legos from Santa but his favorite was the Star Wars fruit snacks in his stocking.
Opening the first present

Mom and Dad got Camden this new computer. He loves it!

"Dad, you get your computer and computer while I computer on my computer!"
After breakfast at the Davis' followed by more gifts Camden got his wish of building a snowman.

Soon all the cousins joined the effort

Finished

Sledding on Grandma's hill

We had a very Lego Christmas and Camden made out like a bandit. We were all spoiled though.
The next day we got all our gear on again and headed to the park.

Taking the first hill with Dad

Proof that I got in the snow (Even though my pants couldn't button!)

Snow angel

Just chillin!
We have had an awesome week and although Dan is doing a half day today, we get to have him home for the rest of the week!  We took Christmas down and are getting ready for Camden's 3rd birthday on Saturday! We hope you all had a Merry Christmas, too!

I really look forward to each of your posts, Nicole. I love the pictures and your commentary. The little Grinches are adorable--very clever. I'm looking forward to Camden's birthday party on Saturday.
