Winter festivities

We have been hitting the basement pretty hard these last couple of weekends. I really want to get all this storage down stairs before we add more toys up here!  First, we painted. We spent pretty much all day one day spraying every wall in the basement. We only stopped long enough for the first coat to dry. I knew once we stopped for the day I would not want to do this again. You can tell we were pretty covered in dust and paint by the end.

We also had to vacuum like four times to get most of the drywall dust up and mop where we were going to stain the floor. We just ordered carpet for the rest of the basement but it probably won't be in until January. All the outlets, switches, and light fixtures are finished so now we just need to do baseboards and doors!
It needs some de junking too!

You all know I hate the cold but I am really trying to enjoy the cold this year. Ok, not the cold necessarily, but the activities that come with this time of year. Camden is in a really fun stage and it is so cute to see what he comes up with.
First real snow of the season

Spoiled much?

I know it's blurry but it's still so cute

I had to wash little puppy and I was sly but Camden figured it out. We had to sit in the laundry room the whole time to wait for him (or endure endless tantrums). This is a picture as soon as he came out of the dryer. It's blurry because Camden is hugging him.
We went to see the reindeer at Thanksgiving Point.

Today we made chocolate sugar cookies for Santa. Camden kept almost putting dough in his mouth and then remembering he couldn't eat it. It was pretty cute.

Enjoying a cookie!
Since it has been below freezing for a while we decided to try ice balloons. They were a little hard for Camden to hold with his big gloves on but they look pretty cool!

Wow! The rooms look great. What a wonderful feeling to have accomplished all of that!

I'm glad you're sacrificing to enjoy the cold weather activities with Camden. That snow angel looks perfect. Did he understand what he was making? Those ice balloons look pretty cool, too. We don't see those around here . . ..

I am so impressed with your basement. It looks great! And, of course, Camden is adorable and so fun to see all that he does. I agree with your Dad (or Julie), you are a great mom for getting out in the cold with Camden and doing fun things.

I absolutely loved the reindeer video! "Hi Reindeer, hi!" haha So cute! You did such a great job on the gifts, Nicole! I think I said it before, but I love the kitchen---so so much. That was such a brilliant idea!
