I know it's been a little while. I thought that since we weren't doing the drywall in our basement that we'd have a bit of a break but I've found ways to keep busy. First of all, our house has been so dusty! I've dusted two or even three times a day and I am usually on the once a month, maybe, schedule! It's crazy how everything can be coated in a matter of minutes.
Luckily, the drywall is now finished. I'm sure it will take a while for
all the dust to settle but hopefully it will help that we are
painting!!! The primer is almost done and hopefully we will do the first coat of paint tonight. After that, the next big thing is flooring. I might be the biggest nerd ever but I can't wait to get the storage room finished so I can organize it.
Camden has had a bit of a runny nose and cough and I'm not sure if it's the new tooth, dust, or just because he knew Thanksgiving was coming and he has to be sick on holidays. Either way, he is handling this round of sickness much better. He is still working on his Halloween candy and gets so excited to get "something out of McQueen bag."

He also loves taking selfies |
|
It's a lot easier to get him to smile if he can see himself |
Camden has started using his imagination more. It's pretty cute to hear the stories he comes up with. I usually say "Oh really?" and he follows up with "Yeah, probably."
|
He said all his friends needed to "sit by me" |
|
This one was "taking a nap by me" |
I finished (mostly) Camden's other main Christmas gift and I can't wait to give it to him. My arms are getting tired from holding up so many blanket forts!
|
It just needs a couple finishing touches |
Since we will be gone over Christmas, we put our tree up last week. I wanted our tree to be up early enough that Camden could enjoy it for a while. So far he has been really good about being soft and leaving things where they are most of the time.
|
He loves to have the lights on |
Dan had this train as a kid and we knew Camden would love it this year.
|
He puts people (or cars) in it to go for a ride |
|
Whenever the train is on, we all have to lie on our tummies and watch it (as per Camden's orders). Don't even try to roll on your side, he's watching. |
When I'm lazy, Camden gets spoiled with little puppy (who usually has to stay in bed). He loved "flying" with him and now goes in his room just to pet little puppy.
For Thanksgiving yesterday we went to go see Frozen. It was Camden's first time in a movie theater and if the tickets hadn't have been free from Dan's work, we might not have taken him. Two just seems pretty little to sit through a whole movie. Camden loved it though! We did have lots of snacks and toward the end he was getting antsy but he pretty much stayed on our laps and payed attention. A lot of people around us probably got sick of hearing "what are those boys doing?," "it's a snowman," "a horsey says neigh," etc. but I don't think he was too loud.
|
Not the best picture but Camden was actually really excited. He kept saying "I'm exactly!" |
We had a great dinner at the Davis' last night and got right to work this morning. Tomorrow we are helping to celebrate Dan's Grandma's 75th birthday with a big party so hopefully we can get everything done, and all the paint out of my hair, today. I cannot wait to have this basement finished!

I love his selfies too! Telling stories to his friends. Even if you can't understand what he's saying thats amaizing! Lol he is going to keep you on your toes, mommy :)-
Love, love, love your posts. So glad I get to see Camden growing up. His antics always make me smile.
I totally get the storage room---I've been de-junking and organizing a bit this week and I'm afraid I'm really catching the bug. But so happy that you had a good holiday! Camden is so dang cute! I can't believe how big he is!
