Dan and I have so much to be grateful for this year and I just wanted to take a minute and write it down so that when things get hectic I can remember some of our blessings.
We are immensely grateful for each other and the relationship we have worked on over these past six years. (We've only been married for 5 but dating was a lot of work :) ) We have grown so close together and we are thankful everyday that we have eternity together.
We are so grateful for all our wonderful family. We have support in everything we do and we feel so blessed to have so much love in our lives! We are excited (and anxious) to be adding another member and we know he will be the most loved baby around!
We are grateful for friends who put up with our quirks and who allow us to drop out of existence for awhile and then pick right back up as if we'd never gone MIA.
We are very grateful to have 2 excellent jobs at a time when the job market is tough. Dan is really enjoying work and although I am looking forward to my new adventures, I am quite sad to be leaving my job. We have learned a lot and mostly have been grateful for the opportunity to work and support our family.
We are grateful for our home and are excited to create "family" memories here. It's been over a year since we moved in and we still sit sometimes in wonder that we get to own our own home.
We are grateful to be healthy and happy and to have healthy and happy families. There are so many things in life that can get in the way (especially after being bombarded with black Friday and all the Christmas wants) that can make us forget how much we already have. I love the Christmas season (we already have all our decorations up!) but mostly because for me it is a time to spend with family creating memories. I hardly remember a thing I got at Christmas but I remember making/decorating cookies for neighbors, setting up the tree as a family, watching/ reading Luke 2, and just spending a lot of time together with immediate and extended family. Those things are the best part of Christmas!
I won't go on, there are so many more things I could include, but I just want to express how grateful I am for all the wonderful things in my life.
Happy Thanksgiving!
