So this cake was made for me by one of my students at work. I'm going to say she was congratulating me on my fine job as a supervisor. Doesn't it look delicious?
And then we go to cut it and sure enough...its a phone book. She loves to prank me and I should have expected it but it smelled so good!
This is after we started priming:
TADA!!!! Our primed deck. We still need to put a coat of paint on and will hopefully finish it up this week before it snows.
So Cori has been talking about the play the Little Shop of Horrors and said it was really good. They were doing it at the Hale and Dan and I decided to go. I also convinced almost all of my students to come! They thought it would be really awkward hanging out outside of work because I am their boss but it was soo fun! The play was awesome. For anyone in Utah I highly recommend it. It is playing until Nov. 21st.
So basically other than the above Dan and I have just been trying to stay sane while we work and do school. I question my desire to get a masters on weeks when I work 30 + hours and then do 20 or so hours of homework. Dan will tell you that I can get pretty grouchy! He on the other hand is doing fantastically! He does well in all his classes and he is totally on top of things! I am so proud of how much work he puts in. I am going to try and be better about posting because I know I have left out tons of fun things we've done lately. O, I just have to say get ready for a Halloween post because our costumes are going to be awesome!
