V-day, Dan's Birthday, and Wesley's Birthday!

February is a busy and super fun month for us! Which means this post is going to be long. I probably should have broken it up in two but oh well.

We'll start with Valentine's day! I was sick the night before and Dan baked everyone a special breakfast cake and stayed home so I could sleep in. The boys loved their valentines! Camden had been requesting a "Yummy chocolate heart for Llama" ever since he read the Llama Llama Valentine book. He was pretty excited to get his.

Legos for every holiday!

Wes is big into puzzles right now

MMm cookie!

Dan knows kids books are the way to my heart

Traditional dessert fondue

This was from Camden's valentines party at preschool. I love the little face!

Playing musical hearts

At preschool they made us valentines and mailed them. Camden was so excited for us to open it and see his note.

Camden clarified that it was really for both mom and dad.
Next up we got to celebrate Dan's 33rd birthday! We love love love him and the boys couldn't wait for him to come home.

Sharing his cheddar fries

Snuggles!

Wes got turned around a few days before his birthday. Such a big boy!
These boys are the best of friends and they work together to make me laugh and simultaneously go insane!

Having lunch in their space ship
It's a regular occurrence that Wesley's food gets dumped on the floor. Here's how it usually goes down:
Goofing around leads to a plate or bowl being knocked off. Either on purpose or accidentally.

They find it hilarious

And now gets to clean it all up!

Sleepy snuggles
Then it was Wesley's birthday!! He was super excited from the moment he saw the balloons.

I let him open his gifts from Grandpa Scott and Grandma Julie to hopefully hold him over.

Traditional birthday pictures!

He had a had time waiting until Dad got home to open that Buzz present

Finally!

He was so excited he got embarrassed and ran to sit in my lap

Doughnut cake!

Our extended families came over after dinner to help celebrate with lots of doughnuts and more presents!

Now that all our big celebrations are over, we're getting back into a regular schedule and looking forward to more sunny days!
He had to sit on brother's lap to get a better look
Wes has hit a two year sleep regression and it has been rough for all of us.
After being too stubborn to take a nap, he fell asleep on Dan as soon he got him up

Camden chose what to have for dinner and helped make it!

We had a day with cousins while we waited for the arrival of their new sister! It was fun but I'm glad I don't have 5 kids!

We've had a nice string of days in the 50-60 range and I'm realizing how acclimated I am when we go out with out jackets and feel perfect! These boys are both at such fun ages right now!

Love, love, love your posts, Nicole. Always fun pictures. Camden took a great picture of you and Dan--a budding photographer! Your kids are the luckiest, with the most fun parents.
