Space Week

Last week was Space week and we were able to have Dan home on Monday to kick it off so we went to the Planetarium. It was quite a step up from my usual planned activities and was pretty much the only really educational thing we did all week.

Flying through the clouds

Getting zapped

Wes loved the elevator

Exploring the Moon

Weightless

Camden taking over Mars

Seeing a show in the dome theater

Our treat was astronaut ice cream

It was crunchy but tasted good

In the middle of space week our butterflies decided to emerge! I was getting worried they weren't going to make it so I was pretty relieved when the first one broke out.

 Tuesday, we made galaxy slime.
Camden looks thrilled

I promise I didn't let Wes eat glue

He did eat salt dough though. He cried and didn't try to eat it again.

Wednesday we attempted star/constellation flashlights which did not impress. We did balloon rockets and stomp rockets instead.

This is Camden's "I'm not lying" face

super Wes
Thursday, I woke up feeling sick and had a lot of vacation prep to try to get done.
We released the butterflies to make sure they made it through the weekend but they didn't want to leave

Wes had to get put in the stroller so he didn't smash them

Weird landing place but Camden was so careful

When Dan got home he took over for me and cleaned every thing for our trip and made galaxy bark with Camden!
We skipped a few activities I had planned because I wasn't feeling well so maybe we'll revisit space another week!
