Bug week

I'll try to do one a week but don't count on it :) We started off summer with Bug Week. We have already been watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies so it seemed like the best start. I try to do activities M-TH and then we enjoy the weekend with Dad home!

Observing and recording the caterpillars

Painting symmetrical butterflies

Smashing crayons against the table

All done!

Bug hunt! We found a little kit at the dollar store and Camden was very excited

I told him he could just use the magnifying glass when he found some thing but he said "detectives us it like this"

Checking out the ladybugs

All the bugs in their temporary home

Lego black widow

Lego bee and flower

smashing letter bugs with a spatula

Spraying letter bugs

As soon as Wes is free, he makes a bee line for the street

Waiting for Dad

Wes is done

He LOVES lying on top of us

Dirt and worms!

Mustache boy and ...

Mustache baby!

I'm under there

Pirate baby
We went on a short hike this weekend and it was a perfect day.
Rocky Mouth trail head

We tried the pack on Dan and Wes flipped out. He didn't love it with me either but eventually liked it.

The water was cold!

That night Dan and Camden had a camp out. Dan plans to take Camden real camping but this was a much quicker practice. Camden was so so excited!

Our daylight campfire!

Just like Dad

Smores

A little catch

He could not stop grinning!
Camden slept all night in the tent and loved ever second. He can't wait to go again. Next up, space week!

What an awesome week! Looks like the answer to having Camden sleep through the night is to have him sleep in a tent!
