It's the best time of the year

We are in full Christmas mode here. Christmas music and activities and movies! It is so fun to see how much more excited Camden is this year.

Outside the Mesa temple

Shooting hoops

He's obsessed with his skeleton gloves and "sock hands"
We had a Christmas FHE on the symbols of Christmas that was fun but Camden's favorite part of this season so far is the hot chocolate. We went to see some Christmas light displays nearby that were pretty cool.

They call this one the "Tree of Life"
Most of you know that after my 20 wk ultrasound my placenta was low. Apparently this is a pretty common diagnosis early on and often times the placenta moves. My dr was concerned because of the location of my C-section scar and the placenta that there is a risk of the placenta implanting too deeply. If that were the case, I would definitely need another c-section and likely a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding. We were pretty bummed about this news but had to wait about 6 weeks for another ultrasound before we could find out if the placenta moved or not. Our wonderful and amazing family fasted with us on Wednesday for the best possible outcome and Dan and I felt pretty good going to the appointment. We felt that whatever the outcome we'd be ok. The ultrasound went perfectly and the placenta has moved!! Baby boy looks completely healthy and we have nothing to worry about! We were so relieved and now we just have a couple of big decisions left.
In between appointments we burned some energy in the field by the hospital.
Camden is pretty much the best ever but certainly has a mind of his own. We wanted to hit Toys R Us while we were down in Provo and told Camden we needed to leave the hospital to go to the toy store. He cried and cried because he wanted to stay at the hospital. Such a strange kid!

He is loving the advent calendars this year. He thinks that after he takes a nap he should get to do another day! We saved one for when Dad gets home and I'm pretty sure getting the chocolates out is his favorite.

Watching the train is also a favorite
We had our ward Christmas party last night. They did a Polar Express theme with breakfast for dinner and it was really cute. Santa came and Camden wasn't too sure how he felt. He watched the other kids sit with Santa for about 15 minutes and then it was his turn and he sat with him! He asked for Legos. We were pretty proud of him!

I am just so so so lucky! Dan has been the best support through all my worrying and he is the absolute best Dad. Camden runs to open the door whenever we hear the garage. Camden is the sweetest boy ever and often surprises me with extra kisses and loves. I can't wait to add another awesome little guy to this family.
While watching Cars he decided he needed to hold my arm!
Seriously these boys are the best. Just look at the show they put on for everyone at target!

Oh man, Nicole. What a wonderful surprise (and huge blessing) that your placenta cooperated. I'm thrilled. And I agree--that video killed me!
