Christmas pt. 2

We were all definitely spoiled this year and had some wonderful Christmases. It was so fun to spend time with family. I wasn't excited for the drive to AZ but Camden actually did really well. He's probably the best kid ever :)

For a long time Camden hated sunglasses, but he's recently become obsessed

So cool
We got off to a late start on the drive but Camden was excellent for the first 5 hours. He just entertained himself in the back. It helped that he had some new Christmas toys to play with.

Right as we got into Vegas Camden fell asleep. We didn't plan well and had to wake him up. After we got going again it took Camden two grouchy hours to fall asleep. He only slept for about an hour each way. I don't know what parents are talking about when they say their kids sleep forever on car trips. It was worth the 11 hours though to see the sun!
Playing with his new track

The zoo was pretty empty so Camden got to run pretty free. He loved it.

Notice the matching jackets!

A new trick

The Davis' sent us a Christmas eve surprise with some new pj's!

Playing Duplos.

Checking out the cat outside
We've still been on vacation a little since Dan has been taking some half days. We celebrated our 7th anniversary on the 30th by going out to dinner with Camden. We ordered Camden some edamame and told him we were getting him some lima beans. He kept asking for them so we told him he had to wait for the guy to come back and bring them. He decided he couldn't wait and started saying "guy, guy you can come back. guy, i want some lima beans, guy." He also decided he would share with the next table and held out his spoon to give bites. We took him to the outlets to see the purple tree and buy some new pots. He loved the tree!
We spent new years eve at the Davis' and they had tons of fun things for the kids to do. Camden loved playing with "the girls." He happily stayed up until 9:30! We made it until midnight but barely! Now we are trying to clean up and get organized for Camden's birthday tomorrow!
Apparently each truck needs its own space
Here's a video of Camden's track

We created a monster and now Camden wants to sit up front all the time. At least we got a cute video out of it.

Since we have been home, Camden has asked to go to Grandpa Scott and Grandma Julie's, Grandpa Jay and Grandma Jerrie's, and Arizona  at least once a day. He asks to see Riley and Athena. I keep telling him it is too far but it doesn't help. He definitely misses it!

I'm thinking how much my parents missed of my kids growing up because we didn't have the internet or phone cameras, etc. I'm thankful we have all of that now so I can enjoy so much of Camden.

Your final video clip really tugged at my heart strings. I hate the thought of disappointing Camden as he is "waiting" for us to arrive.

I just got caught up on your blog! It looks like Christmas was a success this year. How fun! Camden is so stinking cute! I love how he loves his puppy and the picture of him with all of his animals is soooo cute! Your basement looks amazing. You guys are amazing. I am so impressed with all the gifts you made Camden and all the work you are doing yourself on the basement. Amazing.
