I have a lot of pictures of Camden to put up but since I'm in bed I'll have to upload those later.
I haven't posted too much about my health lately so I'll just do a quick update. I had a six month check up a couple of weeks ago and everything looks good still. I will go in for a follow up MRI in October. I'm a little nervous they will find something but trying to be optimistic that I really am cancer free. I've been seeing a new physical therapist for my arm and it has helped. She specializes in lymphedema and took measurements of my arms. My right arm (where they took the nodes) is about 9% bigger than the left. She said they don't really worry until 10% but since it was already bugging me and we don't want it to get worse, she prescribed me a sleeve. I just got it on Wednesday and I'm supposed to wear it all day. It doesn't look great but it does make my arm feel better. Maybe I'll have Dan take a picture so you can see.
I went in for nipple reconstruction and fat graft surgery yesterday at 7. The hospital was on time so we only had to wait a couple of minutes before I got to go pee in a cup and change into my sweet gown. The nurse that did my iv was awesome and it hardly hurt at all. Dr Jensen came in right after that and drew all over me. Then the anesthesiologists came in. I was awake a little bit longer but I can't remember much after going into the operating room. I vaguely remember them telling a joke and high fiving over me but it could have been a dream. I was out of surgery by ten and went home around one! That's the quickest stay I've had. I was still really nauseous but it helped to take a little nap first. When I was getting dressed to leave I noticed that all my wrappings on my legs were soaked with blood. It was pretty gross. I don't remember bleeding after Lipo last time. They changed my wrappings and then I got to go home. The nurses in the same day surgery section were really great. One if the best sets I've had.
I'm achy today but not sick feeling so far. My mouth is still dry from the meds and my face feels itchy but other than that not too bad. I'm lucky to have an awesome husband who stayed with me the whole time and got me whatever I needed yesterday. We are also lucky to have awesome family. Camden stayed with Sherri and Krista yesterday and was having so much fun when Dan went and got him that he didn't want to come home!
The only procedure I have left (provided everything heals well and no new diagnosis) is tattooing. That should be interesting! I don't know how much detail people really want to hear so if you are curious you can Google it :)
Overall I'm really really lucky that things have gone so smoothly. It will be nice to put surgeries behind me. I know I will always worry and I really won't be able to tell myself "it's probably nothing" like I used to before my diagnosis but if that is all I have to deal with (and some big scars!) then I'm pretty blessed. I'm just grateful to be here watching Camden grow up and hanging out with Dan!

Thanks for the update. You really are good about being able to share so much information in a way that helps us understand what you went through and makes us feel comfortable that we can ask questions, etc. Thanks for being so open.
We're glad that you are doing well and are grateful for your wonderful husband and his family!
Nicole, you continue to amaze me with your ability to share what you are going through. I'm so thankful things went well yesterday. Glad, too, that the sleeve is helping. I agree--Dan is great! I'm so happy for you both.
I want to know all the details! By the way, I totally googled it! :)
