It's been about 2 1/2 weeks since surgery now and I am feeling much better. I don't have to be wrapped any more, but I still feel pretty bruised on my legs and stomach. I'm still super tired, but I am already sleeping better than I ever did with the expanders in. It's weird because I mostly feel normal until I start moving, then I feel like and old lady. I'm just achy all over! I heard one lady say that it took about a year to feel normal again after the last surgery, so maybe this time next year I will be good! It has already been two years since I felt normal if you count being pregnant, recovering from a c section, breast feeding, and then all this stuff! I can't wait to just feel good! During my recovery we went up to Heber for a family reunion. It was really great to see everyone and it made me feel less like I was recovering since I had so many people to keep me company (and help with Camden). Ash and I did like a thousand puzzles, Dan got to go golfing, and Camden got spoiled! It was pretty good all around. I didn't take near as many pictures as I should have (you'll have to refer to Ash's blog for some good ones) but here are a couple.
Dan was very excited to match Camden on the 4th! Our bedroom was huge and Camden slept in the walk in closet. It was perfect! Thanks again family for letting us take the biggest room!

Camden was spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa Klundt and Great Grandma Klundt of course, but he got bonus spoiling by Aunt Julie who bought him his own box of yogurt raisins and pretty much took him to do whatever he wanted. Camden also loved playing with Drew and would ask where he was all the time.
Some of us enjoyed our together time a little too much! (It's actually starting to be a tradition for these guys to share dessert)
After the reunion my mom came up for a couple of days to help out. After two plus weeks of Grandparents, Camden went through withdrawals on Wednesday when it was just the two of us again. I have to admit I missed the help too! We kept busy though with new books, tub time, and chalk.
Camden had his 18 month check up yesterday and did pretty well. He still cried when they put him on the scale and pretty much any time I wasn't holding him but he calmed down pretty quickly. The Dr. said he is on track in everything and his speech is at a 2 yr level! That made me pretty proud especially since I've been trying really hard to work on it the last 6 months. Dan and I were being proud parents and talking about all the things Camden was going to be an expert at and Dan mentioned skateboarding. Dan hasn't skateboarded since we've been married and I wrongly doubted his skill. To set me straight we got Dan's old board out and Dan showed off his moves. He is a little rusty but still way better than I could ever hope to be!
Camden loved it and I'm sure there is a mini skateboard in his future.
I think we are finally settling back to somewhat normal life now. I shouldn't have any more surgeries or procedures for another two months or so. We are now setting our sights on the basement, which Dan hopes to start finishing in the next couple of weeks. We are loving our little family right now and enjoying all the new surprises Camden is throwing at us including, some new phrases that catch us off guard and find us asking "where did he learn that!"

Oh Nicole. i have been thinking about you. So glad you are doing 'ok' and recovering well. Loved the updated post and pictures! Camden is so dang cute and such a smarty pants! :) Miss you!
I have been watching for an updated post. The pictures of Camden make me wonder what happened to our baby. He looks so grown up. I'll see you on the 23rd. Love you.
