So far today Camden has thrown a fit because Dad didn't get him this morning, because Dad and Grandad aren't in the basement, because he didn't want his diaper changed, because the window he was hiding by was a window, and because he didn't want buttons on the chair. Poor kid, everything is conspiring against him!
Other than the assaults on his independence, I think Camden has it pretty good. I got to go on a girls night with Dan's family to Park City this weekend and the boys worked in the basement. Four generations working together!

Saturday was Brooklyn's 4th birthday. Camden wasn't sure about all the kids but he LOVED their sand box. Maybe there will have to be one in our future.
One of our old primary students lives on the corner and rides his scooter in our circle. Camden loves to see "Efan" and Ethan is really cute to sit and chat with Camden.
Rocks are a new favorite and we had to take these to "show Daddy rocks basement"
After the boys did some more basement work on Saturday, everyone came over and had pizza and played at our house. Since all our basement junk is on the main floor, we had to get the Barbies out of storage for the girls. Camden loved all the little food.

He and Makayla are enjoying their ice cream (Camden was so attached he had to bring his "i ceam" to bed to share with puppy) |
I love most everything about the toddler phase so far. Camden is interested in everything going on and starting to say some pretty long sentences like "Daddy open bubbles basement home," "Camden have it Mommy's broom," etc. He usually repeats the sentences a hundred times or so until we comply or suggest an acceptable alternative. He definitely knows what he wants and doesn't want! He's started "singing" too and it is so cute! "Sunbean" is his new favorite.

Nicole you are so good at writing! i love to read your descriptions and feel your feelings with whats happening.that first opening is pretty funny,im sure he knew when dad got him they would be going to the basement.
That is nice to have Ethan next door and that he will sit with him for a few.
very fun to read, thank you for taking the time to keep us all updated.
love you, mom
Ditto to everything your Mom said, Nicole. I love the little video clips. See you on Sunday. Love, Grandma K.
I was getting dizzy watching Camden be a "Sunbean." I'm surprised that you were able to finish the song without cracking up. I couldn't have.
He's the cutest "sunbean" ever!
