Weekly update

The weeks are flying by. I can't believe it is almost May! Hopefully the weather will catch up.

Camden found my yoga mat under the bed the other day and decided that someone should use it!

 

 He is getting more independent which I really enjoy but along with it comes a serious stubbornness. He will repeat the word for the thing he wants over and over until I give it to him or come up with a suitable alternative.

It got a little warmer this weekend so we took Camden to Farm Country. Now that he knows the animal names and sounds it is sooo cute! They had these little baby lambs that Camden loved but he'd get confused and sometimes baa and sometimes neigh!

 We also went to the Gardens with my friend Eileen. She treated me to lunch and it was so good to see her and chat! Camden was too shy to do his tricks for her but he warmed up enough to give high fives. Next time we are going to visit her and her puppy!

The battery in my car died and Dan got a new one and surprised me with flowers! He is seriously the best husband ever. He made a delicious lasagna last night for dinner, too.

 Camden is getting quite the collection of books (which I love!) but he usually had to go through every single book to see which one he wanted to read next. After months of having books all over the floor and around the rocking chair, we finally put up some shelves. They are Ikea spice racks (thanks pinterest) and work perfectly. Camden can now see the one he wants and grab it with out disturbing all of them. Of course we still sometimes play the pull them all out game but it is much less often. Dan hung two of the shelves up high enough that Camden can't reach yet so I can put all his paperback books there. I love going into a clean room now!

We have a couple more projects in the works and it is supposed to get up to 70 this coming weekend so I imagine we will be spending more time "side" (as Camden calls it).
