we are home!

Our vacations were fantastic but it is so nice to be home! It has been a long time since I posted so I will try to do a brief recap. The semester is over Hallelujah and both Dan and I passed all our classes which means Dan has one more semester left!!!! (I'm excited if you can't tell).

We celebrated Christmas early here with Dan's family but I forgot to bring my camera and I have no pictures. It is always fun to be with his family and I am so glad to be a part of it!
We went to AZ for Christmas break and the weather was lovely. I obviously can't put everything we did in here so I will just post some highlights:

Jay gave us tickets to the Cavs and Suns game which was so fun to watch even though we lost. Our tickets were for the Verve Lounge and it was a really fun atmosphere to watch the game in. Our view was pretty good as well.
We generally celebrate with one parent on Christmas eve and one on Christmas morning. We had actually showered for Christmas eve so you get a picture of us then and not on Christmas morning!

The day after Christmas we went on a hike with my mom, Jay, and my siblings. We hiked about 7 miles and hardly broke a sweat it was so nice out!
We hiked up to Fat Man's Pass which is so named because of the narrow opening you see below. Obviously, Dan had no problem making it through.
We decided to shove all three of us in there just because.
This year for Christmas my grandma sent us a gift card for dinner and bowling. I never do very well but it is always fun!
I am pretty sure I lost but Dan won and so whats his is mine right?!
We went to LV for new years and we finally got to meet Daysie- Dan's newest cousin. We played games and rock band and just hung out.

Overall, it was so nice to see so much family and some friends ( I never get to see every one I want!) but we are glad to be home! A highlight of every trip is home cooking and because of the delicious food (I am still craving enchiladas!) our new years resolution is to get back in shape!

Oh yeah, we also celebrated our 3rd anniversary over the break. Dan woke up and said "Happy anniversary. Three years ago today I threw up in the toilet and then went to the temple and got married" Yup, that pretty much sums it up! I seriously love him and can't wait to spend another year together!
