i love weekends

I absolutely love the weekend! Friday night Dan and I went to see Urinetown The Musical. I am adding a picture just so you can see I am not making it up. My littlest sister has been talking about it for a while so when Dan noticed it was at UVU we decided to check it out. It was actually pretty funny. The cast did a good job and although the theater was super small the set looked really good. The only thing Dan didn't like was that the costumer went a little overboard with the rags on the poor people and they ended up looking like zombies from Thriller. If you have seen the show, imagine it with zombies...it adds a whole new twist...as if this play needed one.

Anyway, we finished up the night with Farr's ice cream (I know it doesn't sound delicious after the title of the play and full color poster above but it was). I had never been before and it is an interesting self serve style ice cream shop. The white chocolate custard was fantastic!

Saturday Dan and I got an obscene amount of sleep (yay for us!) and lounged about. We made home made pizza, played UNO Spin (we highly recommend it), Monopoly Deal, and watched Serenity. Unfortunately, the combination of too much sleep on Saturday and the "reevers" in Serenity led to me waking up at 5 this morning from a dream about people trying to eat me in the mall. Long story short ... kind of .... I am back on track to be super sleepy at midnight tonight and have the usual Monday (in which my students stay far away until 11).

Today is still young and I plan on treasuring the last hours of my weekend with the best husband ever, home made french fries, and possibly a movie! O, if only everyday could be a weekend!


PS - we are now officially 1/4 of the way through the semester!
