August

It seems like June and July were long and August went by in a flash! We finished up summer with Brother's day and back to school celebrations and lots of home projects.

These brothers are just too much. They love each other so much! We decided they needed a day to celebrate so we split the difference in their half birthdays and created Brothers Day!

We started the day with presents!

Then Camden wanted to do a hike with his camelbak.

Wes got carried most of the way.

Dan took Camden to the very top!
When we got back to the car some fluffy pandas were waiting for the boys.

We finished our celebrations with a super sprinkles cake for Camden and candles for Wes.

We've been enjoying lazy days and lots of Legos while we still have no where we have to be.

Watching Dad give his talk in church.

It looks like Wesley is giving Camden a hot stone massage but they're just stacking the blocks on his back.

Dan and I briefly thought about moving but decided against it. Instead we decided to tackle a few projects that would make our house feel more like us. We started with painting the whole house a really light grey. It was a huge project but it was fun to work together and see the changes.

Camden wanted to take his cousins Pokemon hunting before summer was over.
We were able to see a pretty cool eclipse this year. I didn't know if the boys would like it but they were really excited.

Eclipse shadows

Getting donuts with Makayla was on Camden's summer bucket list

And then we went to the dinosaur museum for this cutie

"Lemme see"

Both boys like to put on Dan's hat and pretend to be him!

Dan finished another project for me and covered up our tv cut out!
Summer was coming to an end and we were all getting excited for Camden to start Kindergarten!! We held our annual back to school dinner complete with ice cream sundaes and blessings.

Then it was Camden's first day!!!
He was actually not at all nervous!

Catching a ride up the hill

Wesley missed his brother and wanted to be just like him with a "pack pack" of his own.

I don't know who was more excited, Camden or me!

He had a great first day!

Making an instructional video like his brother

Celebrating a good first week at the Farm!

Waiting for pony rides.

So far school has been great. It's nice to have a routine, even if it's a little hard for us all to get up and get going some days. Camden loves his teacher, Mrs. Rigby, and he loves seeing Makayla at recess. Wesley and I have fun on our walks home from drop off and we've done trips to the library or store or just stayed home and played together. I'm so glad it's all going so smoothly!
